„Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria" Plc add 100% ...

"Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria" Plc is established in the basis of the tradition and assets of Zarneni Hrani State-Owned Economic Group, which was the only Bulgarian structure engaged in purchase, storage and home trade in grains till 1991. Over the 1997-2001 transition periods towards market economy, "Zarneni Hrani" was gradually privatized and part of its assets became subject to execution on behalf of some banks. As a result of the unprofessional privatization, "Zarneni Hrani" was practically liquidated and the Balkan Peninsula has faced the risk of losing a unique infrastructure. Aware of the significance and potential of the agriculture in Bulgaria, the shareholders of "Chimimport Plc" started a process aimed at restoration of the assets and functional integrity of Zarneni Hrani 10 years ago - during the period of privatization and liquidation.

Most of the "Zarneni Hrani" assets and infrastructure were acquired during 1997-2000 from closing sales made by the State Receivables Collecting Agency and banks, non-specialized in grain business \United Bulgarian Bank, SG Expressbank and Unicredit\ and from acquisition of the bankrupt Bank of Agricultural Credit Plc.
Over the years, the fractured and badly managed facilities have been modernized and included in a general information system. The establishment of "Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria" Plc through the merger of eight companies represents the last stage of the reorganization of the grain business of "Chimimport" Plc. The company is successor of the strong advantages and experience of the merging companies and has unique infrastructure and operational model that might be hardly replicated at present, not only because of the exclusively high capital expenses related to their creation but also due to the fact that they incorporate experience of several Bulgarian generations. The operational model of "Zarneni Hrani" Plc covers all activities - from credits for farmers in cash, fuel, fertilizers and chemicals to manufacturing of products such as bottled oils, margarine, dressings and biodiesels. Following the acquisition of the assets of the former oil production factory in Provadia in 2003, "Slanchevi Lachi Bulgaria" plc commenced production activities. Over the period 2003-2005 the production capacity was restored and modernized. In compliance with the EU Directive 2003/30/EC on renewable energy sources, the company invested in 2006 in fully automated line for biodiesel production with capacity of 100 000 tons per year. The equipment has been provided by the leading European company De Smet - Balestra. For the last several years, the main objective of the shareholders of "Chimimport" Plc has been the acquisition, protection and restoration of the assets, as well as regaining of a leading position in the sphere of agricultural business. We conduct our business based on the following values: focus on the farmer and the consumer, entrepreneurship, innovations, loyalty and trust. We will measure our performance with motivated and committed employees, satisfied partners and profit growth.
